Houseboat Fire on Lake Union, Seattle

I had been talking with this fun and talkative houseboat resident when we noticed the smell of smoke in which we were soon enveloped. Quickly many fire engines arrived and we walked down to the public dock to look at the fire rescue efforts. The Seattle Fire Department did an excellent job in maintaining and squelching the fire to the one unit. There are a number of newscasts, reports, and comments online. While watching the evening news that night, we spotted my green sweater/elbow in the newscast "concerned residents look on." From comments posted on the issue I learned of the philosopher Empedocles.
